The Riedl family is vacationing in Arizona this summer! While it is true that it is extremely hot in the summer, July is actually one of the rainiest times of the year for the Phoenix area. It's the MONSOON SEASON!
Here is a video I filmed in Jen's family's backyard when a monsoon hit yesterday. It was very rainy and windy, with thunder and lightning. Monsoons in Arizona are very dangerous because they come suddenly, without warning, and cause flash floods that can trap and kill hikers or even wash away houses. Amazing extreme weather.
