Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C.S. Lewis, is the fifth book in the reading order of the Chronicles of Narnia series. Edmund and Lucy are the stars of this book, as they literally go into a painting with their cousin, Eustace. Their cousin is about as selfish and bratty as you can imagine, providing plenty of comic relief for the readers. After they enter the painting of the ship called The Dawn Treader, they are actually floating in the water right beside it. When the three children get on board, they find King Caspian and his crew, and they learn that they are traveling to the east seas to find the seven lost Lords of Narnia. They sail to many different islands and make amazing discoveries that will go down in the Narnia history books!

This adventure is a boat-load of fun as they travel from island to island, encountering unbelievable situation after situation. The seas of the "utter East" seem like mini dream worlds where anything can happen.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie comes out this Christmas. Looking forward to it!
