Prince Caspian, by C.S. Lewis, is the fourth book in the reading order of the Chronicles of Narnia series. This story focuses on the Pevensie siblings again, who get back to Narnia by being magically whisked away while waiting for a train in a British railway station. They come to old ruins, which they eventually learn is their old castle, where they once ruled as kings and queens in their first visit. Only a year has passed back in England, but in Narnia many centuries have passed. They discover that something awful has happened: Their beloved land was invaded since they have been gone. The four children must establish a new prince as the rightful heir to the throne, but it is a difficult road that they must take to get there.
A great continuation to the previous storyline of the Pevensies, this one focuses on the cooperation that the siblings must work out when attempting to help those in the land of Narnia. New insights on characters in Narnia bring this book to life.
Although the Prince Caspian movie was satisfactory, it did not follow the storyline of the book accurately. So, naturally, I was a bit disappointed when watching it. It is still worth it to check it out, though!
