Photos/Videos of Delaney

My paternity leave was a wonderful time to spend with my new family of four, but it is great to be back in the classroom. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a smooth transition. Many people have asked to see pictures of Delaney, so if you want to see the photos and videos that I showed the 5th graders on Friday, please click to view.

Chorale/Music Update

This Tuesday, January 29th, Crusader Chorale will be meeting after school from 3-4pm. Please plan accordingly. If you didn't get a chance to see Mrs. Brumley's photos from the music room, click here. They have been learning about Bach and the Baroque Period.

Term 2 Book Report

This week I will give the students their second book report assignment. They will be required to choose a biography or autobiography to read. The book also must be about a person that displays some sort of Christ-like qualities. For example, Albert Einstein was a creative physicist who was influential by contributing many helpful ideas to the world. Jesus was also creative and influential, and he contributed quite a large number of helpful ideas to the world. :-) In the book report, each student will find connections between their own life and the person in their book. Sorry, no books about serial killers or anything like that. Books must be read by March 1st, and book reports will be due March 15th. I will talk with the students about it in greater detail this week.
