December 9 - 13, 2013
   We have been enjoying the season of Advent and contributing ornaments to our Advent Calendar Christmas Tree! Later this week I plan to post more information about what we are doing as a class as we anticipate the birth of Christ. Our Reading Buddy Christmas Party is this upcoming Friday, so we look forward to share that time as well as a meaningful gift with our buddies that day! Make it a great week, everyone!

Reading Buddy Christmas Party

We will be exchanging gifts with our reading buddies in 1st grade. Gifts should either be hand-made or less than $5. At the Reading Buddy Christmas Party (on Friday at 1pm in our classroom), we will do activities together, exchange gifts, listen to a story read by Mr. Riedl, and eat some tasty popcorn! I'm excited!

Late or Missing Work

It's almost the end of the first trimester, which means I will be putting report cards together next Friday (the 20th). Be sure to turn in all missing or late work by next Thursday, the 19th, the last day of school before Christmas Break! Due to all of the events during Advent season, I have not sent out missing work lists on the same days I usually do, but I plan to send an update tonight.
