2nd Back To School Night is TOMORROW!

Do you remember waaaay back on the first week of school? No? That's okay... I don't expect you to remember. 😉 Well, on Week 1 of 37 we had the first Back To School Night. Wow, that seems like so long ago! On that night, I basically just presented information about myself and my passion for teaching your kids. I didn't explain much about the day-to-day stuff because it was only the first week and I don't think it would have been beneficial to you at that point in time.

Monday night (tomorrow) in my classroom at 7-8pm, you will get the chance to learn more details about your child's day-to-day routines. This 2nd Back To School Night will be a time where I will walk you through several important things that will hopefully help you understand more about what your child is talking about when they tell you about what happened during their day. It will be much more laid back than the first Back To School Night, and I hope we can have a lot more discussion and collaboration as we work together to help your child be successful! I hope to see you there!

Spirit Week!

As you can see in the "Upcoming Events" section above, Spirit Theme Days for Monday through Thursday are listed. However, I have not yet completely decided on a Friday Spirit Theme. The reason for this is because we rushed too fast voting on a theme last week, so I want to sit the class down, talk about it one more time, and then vote again. Stay tuned... we should have it picked by the end of the day Monday.

Neighborhood House Donations for Winter Trips

Half of the class will be going to Neighborhood House again this week on Tuesday, February 28th. I would like us to bring donations with us for the rest of the trips this year, so each student please bring one or two items to donate. These are the students I have selected to go this week: Seth, Ezra, Miles, Addie, Caroline, Grant H, Cole S, Iosea, Char, Meghan, Annika, Ethan, and Daniel. The other half of the class will be going on Tuesday, March 7th. Please remember that the students should wear good shoes to walk in, clothes they don't mind getting dirty, and bring a rain jacket in case it rains on our 15 minute walk to Multnomah Village. Let me know if you have any questions, and click here for more info about donations.

Other School-wide Events

Be sure to read the WHCS Weekly News to learn more about other school-wide events at West Hills Christian School. It is emailed to the entire school regularly on Friday afternoons. Thanks so much!
