Newsletter: Week 36 of 37

All of the 5th graders watching the Gold video!
June 5 - 9, 2017

This is it... the last full week of school! This Friday is also the last day to turn in any missing work or Correction Forms. Until then, there are only a few assignments left to be graded before report cards: The Middle Ages Research Presentation, Math quiz, Grammar test, and Science test/assignments. I updated the grades this weekend, so please look at them together to see how grades can be improved (if necessary). It's going to be a very busy week for those students who waited until the last week to improve their grades. All students will receive a detailed printout of their grades on Monday when we talk about it in class. Please let me know if you are unable to log in to Renweb to view grades at home. Make it a great week, everyone!

Field Trip: Tigard Bowl & Pizza Caboose

Our end-of-the-year field trip will take place on Monday, June 12th from 9:45-1:00pm. Students need to wear/bring socks to use with the bowling shoes. Lunch will be provided at Pizza Caboose, and while students are welcome to purchase snacks while bowling, I hope they are considerate of others who didn't bring money for snacks. According to the Volunteer Schedule, we have plenty of parents to help carpool students. Thank you! I'll be sending volunteer info to you soon. Let me know if you have additional questions!

I am continually learning and growing as a teacher, and I appreciate any specific feedback you can give me at the end of the year. I feel like I have learned more this year than any other year so far in my teaching career. Over the summer, I have several things in mind that I'm planning to work on to be better next year, and I would any other suggestions that you think might be helpful. Please CLICK HERE to give me feedback by taking a quick survey. Thank you so much for helping me be a better teacher in the years to come!
