Meeting our 1st Grade reading buddies!

September 18 - 22, 2017

   We really enjoyed meeting our 1st grade reading buddies, as we journeyed down to Mrs. Mickel's class last week! This weekend, my students should be completing their first BookShelfie on my website, which my students do each week instead of a reading log. They had lots of time in class to practice posting on the BookShelfie padlet page, so they should know what to do. If you have any questions or any technology issues, then please let me know. Topics to Talk About at Home

Last week, Mrs. Hawkins welcomed two guests from the Oregon Burn Center, who educated us about the importance of fire safety and what the body does when it has been burned. One of Mrs. Hawkins' students, Wyatt, was badly burned this summer, so please talk about what we learned last week (the differences between 1st/2nd/3rd degree burns), and what fire safety looks like. Also, please continue to pray for Wyatt's recovery! Thank you!
